A Little About Me
Compassionate Problem-Solving at Your Own Pace
My name is Leilani. After nearly 10 years as a stay-at-home mom, I found myself needing to return to work. Frankly I didn't know where to start, but I knew it was important to do something I loved. When I started thinking about what I enjoyed most in all of my previous positions, a pattern began to emerge. I loved solving problems! I got excited about understanding how all the different pieces of a challenging situation work together. Finding solutions that reduced stress for everyone and made things work more efficiently was so satisfying.
That's when I discovered professional organizing. It enables me to help people reduce stress and find more time to do what they love. I find it so rewarding to be working with a client and hear that sigh of relief or see the little happy dance! It's the moment they realize things are changing for the better.
I have always been sympathetic to people's distress. But at this point in my life (raising two kids with my husband, having bought and sold a couple of homes, caring for sick family members and aging parents, and facing my own health challenges over the years), I have even greater empathy for people going through life situations that can cause us to become disorganized.
It's very important to me to take the time to listen to my clients so that I can understand where they're coming from, their current situation, and where they would like to be. I pull from a variety of organizing theories and techniques and I'm always learning something new. Please let me know if there's a particular organizing method you're interested in trying and I will be happy to incorporate it into our work together. I'm also very pleased to be a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and as such I adhere to to their high standards of professionalism and ethics. It's OK to need help and I'm here to cheer you on as you start your own journey towards a more peaceful organized life!
